This blog is passionate about all things personal development, authenticity and accountability. I refuse to be the type of person that sits high and mighty on a throne of invincibility, holding the mere mortals to task, no! I’m a real woman, with real fears and struggles who experiences difficulties in life just like everybody else. In fact its the reason that I have taken a hiatus from writing the blog for the entire month of June… [cue the music] DUN, DUN, DUNNNNN!!!
Story time!
I recently moved from a home I rented and though the moved was anticipated for months, and despite doing everything to ensure that the business relationship with my former landlord/letting agent ended harmoniously, the circumstances under which I moved was far from desirable. The letting agent and landlord were intent on practising an old paradigm of business, one that values greed and money over people and does not recognise the innate value of the people you do business with, not to mention errrm… KARMA!
As well as this blog, I also run a gardening business and much like inspiring women, it’s genuinely something I love to do. In my gardening business much of the way I do business is community focused, I care about what I do as well as about my customers. This creates balance and results in a heart centred way of doing business. Money comes as a result of doing what I love, this in my humble opinion, is the only progressive way to do business! This is also the way that we raise the collective out of a lower consciousness (but that’s a conversation for a different day)!
So what did I do?
First thing I did was took a little while to lick my wounds and tend to my bruised ego! I consider myself humble, but every now and again my inner egomaniac rears her shiny forehead to remind me of the parts of myself where I am not yet healed!
The pesky thing about using the law of attraction is that you actually have to grow…. this annoying phenomena happens whether you’re ready or not. The law of attraction doesn’t care about your schedule. It will show up when you don’t feel ready for the challenges that come with growing. Sometimes it shows up like a rapid fire of challenges. Changing your reality forces you to grow and can sometimes show up at your door as painful experiences or hard truths that were relegated to the shadowy realms of your blind spots. It’s the reason why its called growing pains and not growing pleasures, duh!
Rise to the occasion
When life descends into chaos do not panic, do not fall into a “why me?” world view, and do not shrink away when life challenges you. When you find that life is challenging you in each direction, go ahead and bitch, moan, scream if you must, I would even argue that a good healthy scream driving all the way home from work is absolutely imperative but in the back of your mind, always remember the more the archer pulls back the arrow, the further it will travel the distance. In fact I challenge you to stay ahead of the curve by becoming excited about the challenges!
Think like a Queen
Frustration arises when life doesn’t look or feel the way you want it to. A queen will take all the material that life throws at her and build a beautiful life with it because life is a mirror reflecting back to you what is going on in your inner environment. When you start to understand this and truly embody this, its a game changer!
There are no coincidences, life is not happening to you, it’s happening through you! In every moment, life is reflecting back at you the conditions of your inner environment. Some people feel comforted by the belief that they are a victim of circumstances, they take comfort in blaming conditions outside of themselves for where they are in life. This type of mindset is the death of empowerment. The law of attraction doesn’t just happen in your cosy comfort zone. If you truly have a growth mindset, you will welcome the law in the myriad of ways that it appears in your life, even when you are being severely triggered and challenged!
When life becomes chaotic some people decide to fight against the current, although this worldview is more empowered than the victim mindset, I would also advise against this too. This is the opposite of entering into a state of flow, one where you become one with your experiences and life seems to flow through you!
Self Awareness
I can’t stress enough the value of self awareness. Self awareness is like a superpower. It gives you the ability to pierce through illusion and penetrate reality! You become self aware by looking at your thoughts and feelings and objectively assessing both your strengths and your limitations. Challenges give you a unique opportunity to gain deeper insights into yourself.
Life is mirroring back at you your inner frequency. When you start to look through the illusion and see that when you look at your life, your relationships, your health, your wealth, your spiritual well being is literally you looking back at you! Once you truly embody this, you have reached a dangerous level of freedom and personal power!
